there is an age old debate on what defines artist v entertainer. both are good, and truth is, probably all successful musicians fall between the extremes. but you gotta love a guy with his own voice, style, vision ... even while realizing that artistic ideals must cede the $$$s their due. this guy is no sellout, yet on the subject ...

very loose paraphrase,
