“I think we have the best game that highlights our best athletes in the world, every single night,” Morey concluded. “It’s almost like cognitive dissonance. People tune in, and they’re being told how they shouldn’t watch, and how it’s not a fun game to watch. It’s bizarre to me. The NFL would never let it happen, and I don’t understand it.” https://rocketswire.usatoday.com/20...s-broadcasters-who-are-hate-watching-the-nba/
wow, a bold move, took a shot at the league.... I think DM is all in saving his beard which looks get a tendency to mimic JH.
First Beard with the opening salvo a few days ago, now Daryl's turn. Brodie is a savage, a master conductor behind the scenes. Waiting for MDA to chime in.
I think he is a genius but I think he can't keep it to himself. He has to engage the media about every 'small injustice', thus making him an even easier target. It's not the job of the GM to play PR artist, or comment on the politics in other areas of the world.
All you have to listen to that old crusty Denver and Eddie Johnson of the suns broadcasting crew to see what morey is going on about.
Hubie Brown, Reggie Miller, Chris Webber really all broadcasters except for Ryan Ruocco from Houston and Jeff Van Gundy, Sara Kustak support and unbiased. Analyst Nick Wright always is getting new information from Daryl about stats and theories.
I think I may have figured out part of why the media hates Houston. The media has two major hubs, LA and New York. For the New York half after 21 years of not making the finals and Jordan no where around to knock them out of the playoffs, New York finally makes it the Finals...... Only two meet the Houston Rockets. What then happens is soul crushing to the fans and media of New York. Olajuwon blocks Starks' game winning 3 in Game 6 and The Rockets knock the Knicks out in a tight game 7. The media has never, ever forgotten. And will never forgive them.
