Harden needs 69 more points to exceed 20,000 career points

he could have reached that a long time ago if only he had moved without the ball when teams are double/triple teaming beyond the arc

 

Pretty crazy, but he's certainly capable of doing it. It would produce an earthquake around the league and among the fans. That's for sure. A 6.9 on the Richter Scale.

What's equally crazy is that he was about 35000 points behind Kareem before he joined the Rockets 6 seasons ago.

and might score 69 or more points in the game as well

Kobe and Malone played almost 20 years in the league. Harden is in his 11th year. Unless Harden burns out, he can definitely catch Kobe. Malone will be a little harder but still doable. We still haven't seen the peak of Harden's powers.

 

5,000 3 pointers and 1000 free throws. Easy peasy

 

He scored 2800 points last season and is on pace to break that number this year.

 

With hopefully general good health for the next 5 years. Where do you see Harden finishing all time in scoring? Looking at it I would say anywhere from 3rd to 11 or 12th is reasonable.

Pretty crazy to think that. His first 3 years before he got here was 9.9, 12, and 16. Then just a climb every freaking year.

 

He would have to call a time out in order for them to tune him out

 

I guess. Of course, McHale's wife is much angrier than D'Antoni's so Harden was probably playing with fire by ignoring McHale so often.
