    1. Rust Chole (True Detective season1)
    2. George Costanza (Seinfeld)
    3. John Locke (Lost)
    4. I can't decide on one It's Always Sunny Character :(
    5. Walter White (Breaking Bad)

    honorable mentions:
    George Michael Bluth (arrested development)
    Richard Winters (band of brothers)
Saitama (one punch man) ((his character in season 1 is amazing watch this if you have not seen the show))

Sorry ladies. I could add a lot of honorable mentions for example the leading female on The Leftovers, Laura Durst, or the mom from Friday Night Lights.

I did my top 5 earlier, and could easily do another top 5 'cause this is a really tough question, but I'll go a different way. Here's my top 5 non-lead characters:

    The McPoyle brothers, Always Sunny
    Roger Furlong, Veep
    Dewey Crowe, Justified
    Grampa Simpson

It is hard to narrow the list to five. I started this thread thinking about Beverley Hill Billies, some commercial plays the theme song.

Jed is great in always trying to do the right/fair thing. Another sitcom character like that is Sheriff Andy Taylor. Dont see too nany characters like that anymore
