    Everyone references 1984, but "Politics and the English Language" is more relevant than ever. Just consider this quote in light of today's happenings:

    You walk up to the 15 items or less line with 2 items in your hand. You are 3rd in line as the cashier starts scanning what appears to be about 40 items from a customer's cart.
