    I really enjoyed the world building in this first episode, I don’t know anything about book series or story so I’m going in blind……

    I started it at one point but I think I was otherwise distracted. Sometimes when I come back to something I really like it. The first time I heard REVOLVER and ACHTUNG BABY, they didn't grab me; on second and third listenings, different story, now they're two of my favorite albums. So it sometimes is with books.

    I'm the opposite. Struggled to get through the first one (I'm sure it's just because I was tired, but I fell asleep twice watching it), the rest are piling up on the DVR. I'll give it a shot one of these days.

    Its garbage. Couldn't make it through episode 2. Every character is dour and uninteresting. It's a childish premise but to depressing for kids.

    Finally got around to watching it. I enjoyed it. Not every episode a hit, but I liked it. Faithful enough to the books.

    I saw that it has like an 80% on Rotten Tomatoes. That's fair. It's not a world-beater but I thought it was good. The tease about this show is McAvoy; he's a great actor and the most captivating when on-screen, but his character doesn't get a ton of screen time.

    However, rona necessitated an audible on the filming of season 2, so they added a standalone McAvoy episode. So hopefully that's good.
