There is another funny sh't about this Lebron statement. Not long ago, almost everyone and their mothers were on Rich Paul's side when NCAA asked him to have a bachelor degree in order to be an agent. Now he prepared Lebron for a week and came out with this sh't? LOL
End of the day, brand protection matters more to these megastars than anything else. Their life revolves around it.
But I didn't call anyone Nazi. I am just comparing that no one defends those camps now with what we know about them and the more we know about these camps in China I do think it will get to the point. Was Morey or Lebron thinking about them? No, I doubt it, I doubt they know, but in due time I think they will know and people outside of China have to speak up about it because people inside of China cannot. I think there are reasons Xi lied about the existence of these camps before he had to be forced to acknowledge them.
Lebron allegedly had a week to formulate these thoughts and still fumbled even worse than one could imagine.
Good post. "Uneducated" was not the right word to use. More like "exhibited poor judgment" or "did not think through the ramifications" -- which are fair criticisms that Morey also acknowledged in his "apology". He wasn't speaking to Morey's "education" on the political situation in China, but rather his "education" on managing public relations when it comes to a global game. Perhaps LeBron should setup a camp to teach basketball personnel about this, through his foundation. He can call it his "re-education camp".
https://www.usatoday.com/story/spor...daryl-morey-china-hong-kong-tweet/3982436002/ "Most Disgraceful Moment of His Career" Something tells me he's going to have to do a bit more to control the fallout from this one.
Lebron and Kerr the super SJW, but not for everyone on the planet apparently. Morey has 100x the balls of those fake-ass b****es.
Yah..nope. Kapernicus literally gets paid millions to be the poster boy for social justice. Wasn't his stance against police brutality? Kapernicus doesn't have the luxury to pick and choose which ethnic group he stands for against police brutality.
"lost a little" but "he's right though" another Lebronstan smh... quit being a nephew and think for yourself.
It's also not like Nike gave a fk about police brutality. They chose the side that will get them the most attention but also still increase their revenue. Supporting china doesn't increase their revenue.
Will his Space Jam 2 movie now feature a segment where Bugs and LeBron fights Yao and a cartoon counterpart for basketball supremacy only to end up shaking hands when both teams are given lucrative shoe deals by Nike?
I hope that opening night there are Daryl Morey chants throughout the stadium. It's on national TV so it better be loud.
