    Johnathan Williams might have more potential for us as a backup center. Played for LAL last year for about 20 games. No 3pointer but decent.

    The organization sees themselves, rightfully so, as a championship contender (or Tilman is a cheap ass, take your pick) and he's simply not ready to contribute in any significant manner. I think the Rockets did him a favor by not cutting him and simply agreed to see how training camp goes. He might someday be really good, but he needs a lot of playing time, which he's not going to get here under the circumstances.
