Jam Green is the guy, Get him!

Can play smallball 5, can stretch it out to the 3 point line (corner 3s 40.1% on his career). Can rebound - because he can hit that corner 3 he could play alongside Capela for 'tall ball' when required.

Add him to last years team, and the fact he's over 6'5 makes a significant difference already.


If we could somehow finesse Danny Green as well - major contender alert.

 

We should trade capela & gordon to cleveland for KLove, sign boogie on the vet min and give the mle to marcus morris on a 1yr deal (assuming noone has cap to give him the deal he wants). We should ask faried to come back. Also sign KCP & Boban.

I think Morey is following the opposite formula from last year... instead of getting a lot of new personnel...just keep what we have that we can keep... and if he follows the formula of two years ago, get wing 3 and D guys, like KCP or Mbah Moute....but he might have to find a Capela or Tucker backup...since Nene is probably retiring...

 

Jeff Green could’ve been had...2.5 million!! Morey better get JaMychal who might be waiting and sign a cheap deal if Kawhi goes to Clippers.

Just to put it out there, Marcus Morris is not an option for us.

He was talking to the Clippers before they traded for Harkless but they couldn’t agree on money. He’s definitely not taking a paycut to 5.7. Hope for Green.

Eric Gordon and not Capela is someone I can see him still dangling for assets.

 

I didn't compare them though. I said we could use someone like Luc. YOLO said Green checks all of Luc's boxes. IMO he's a good fit, but not quite the same.

I like project players at the end of the bench. But you don't give MLE to a G-league reclamation project with no negotiating leverage. You sign him to a min and throw him in summer league.

 

I'd be surprised if any "three-year deal" to Ponds has any guaranteed salary in Year 3, so the Rockets could always pivot and make it a two-year deal instead if they need to use every last MLE dollar elsewhere.

 

Now I want Marcus Morris at the MLE, which he won’t want but we also sign Markieff for the BAE.
To be honest I don’t think either are very good, nor would they make us better, and even may cause a disaster in the locker room.......but it would be fuccin cool to have the twins off the bench.
