    Hopefully not a team of scrubs that can't come in and score like EGO did if Paul, Butler, or James get injured. He was our second highest scorer and best 3 pt shooter the whole month leading up to the playoffs. Clint was playing really well before the bacterial infection. Does Butlers worth equal EGO AND Clint? Trading 2 of our top 5 scorers for him just seems risky.

    I completely forgot about Ponds … (neither he nor Brown have been added to the spotrac page which is what I used to calculate the numbers).

    Deyonta Davis was a center they signed recently to a non-guaranteed deal. There's also Moses Brown , a center out of UCLA that signed as a UDFA. I don't see both of them making the roster but I think its safe to say one "developmental" center is on the roster just because of the salary constraints.

    I didn't add Michael Frazier or Chris Chiozza as I didn't think they'd make the roster.

    The point was that with use of the MLE & BAE they can only field a roster of 14 players for the duration of the season and be <$500k under the apron.

    That's unlikely as the idea behind moving EG / Capela is to open space under the apron to fill out the roster - Signing Shumpert defeats that purpose unless you both sign and trade him prior to making the trade for butler.

    And really , why would a team hard cap themselves for Shumpert ? Why would they give up an asset for a player they could just sign as a free agent.

    Now if Butler were to take the opt in dream scenario of this …. Yeah , you can sign Shumpert as an asset but if the hard cap is in play , forgetaboutit.

    Only thing i dont like is that our team would be old af ,honestly this may sound crazy but ill trade tucker for a 1st then deal that off with cp3 to get off his contract then u would have 45+ mill in cap space.
