I don't know about being hyped, but thanks for the take, Holic. Looks like someone worth taking a look at.
Sure, it's just highlights from one game, but he moved pretty well without the ball and hit some wide open threes, something our offense produces a lot of. McLemore doesn't have the slowest release I've ever seen. I especially liked how he looked hitting the corner three, a big part of our offense. I didn't look at his stats, but if he doesn't make a lot of stupid mistakes leading to turnovers, a Green specialty, then even if his defense is lousy, he might be an improvement over Gerald.
Ben for the minimum would be a steal! I’m definitely excited about the potential signing. I’ll take him over Shumpert and even Gerald Green.
I remember when Clutchfans used to root for the minimum players too. Nowadays we hate on our stars and scrubs alike.
If we are going back to fun basketball and rooting for young players, I am not mad at not contending. Being serious here.
When I first joined it was Yao and Tmac's first year together and it looked like we had a dynasty in the making. People were way more optimistic back then. Our bench was Deke, Mike James, Jon Barry, Ryan Bowen, and Scott Padgett. Some truly horrible players in there but nobody was hated. It was fun just watching them battle, even if we were a horrible offensive team with flaws. Now we're actually contending and just can't get over the hump and we hate everybody.
the FA period hasn't even begun and we have people already b****ing about someone who was the 7th overall pick 6 years ago coming in for a workout. On a team you know has to fill out the end spots eventually with min salaries.
From McLemore's wikipedia page: "On July 17, 2018, McLemore was traded, along with Deyonta Davis, a 2021 second-round pick and cash considerations, to the Sacramento Kings in exchange for Garrett Temple. On February 7, 2019, McLemore was waived by the Kings....." I doubt our interest in McLemore, and Deyonta Davis who we already acquired, is anything more than fillers for a trade.
