    Sure. But Houston won't win a title with one superstar, one rapidly declining (former?) star, and a bunch of role players. Taking a shot with two superstars feels like a better option.

    You would probably have to include PJ, but that still may not be enough compared to what LA and Boston can offer.

    If something like this went down I think I would actually faint. I’m trying not get my hopes up then you go and post a thread like this lol.

    What might make me lean towards doing it that IF we don't win the chip and IF Davis still walks, there's the possibility of dumping CP3 and his $40M a year the next summer and have enough cap space to land a different max guy and some other weaponry. Kind of a mini-rebuild.

    Luckily, whatever we "gut" the team with will be topped by a team with better assets and better picks.

    In a heartbeat, but New Orleans would never do that.

    They’re not going to accept completely basketball irrelevancy for Capela, a guy they’ve already had and some late draft picks.

    I would do it as long as he doesn't say he WON'T extend and 2 of those picks are top 4 protected. He doesn't have to guarantee he stays with us.
