Focus on Stephanie Curry....defended by CP3/Rivers/Shumpert

Try to keep Tucker with Draymond.
    Gordon near Klay.
Team responsibility on finding Iggy backdooring us.

    On to the WCF's

Without Durant is easier on Harden which is going to be easier on the Rockets. Durant guarding Harden was bad for the Rockets, I don't remember Harden having success with Durantula on him. Warriors were champions without Durant, yes, but this is the 2018/19 Harden. The only adjustment for the Rockets is get CAPELA to start dunking, have no fear to the chumps. I don't see any fire in him, only adjustment is wake up Capela.

I think you just stick to what's working. We're almost tied in total points in the series against a tremendous opponent. Rebound like hell, pass the ball with conviction.

We can probably play house more since he won't have to deal with Durant.

Paul went down with under a minute left in the game and we held on. Durant went down in the 3rd quarter and we didn’t capitalize. Not saying you’re wrong, I’m just saying the situation is still a little different.

I think they need to change the defense to drop Capela more and switch less. It would put Capela in a much better position to get boards.

It will be interesting to see who the warriors go with in the starting 5. My guess in Looney which should favor Clint.

Not sure if that makes sense. They'll be forcing harden to fight over picks constantly

I would stick with the same defensive strategy, and if they are blowing us up then switch. But the same defense should work well. That said, they still have 3 all stars. It will not be a pancake walk over. They still have more talent than we do.

Grab Stephie's pacifier that's always hanging out of his mouth and throw it in the trash. Toyota Center would be rockin'.

    1. Double Klay often
    2. Go after Steph on offense. Expose/tire him all night long
    3. Battle DG on the boards
    4. No back door cuts by GSW
    5. Harden heavy drives to the basket > Stepbacks
    6. CP0 midrange them to death
    7. Capela dominate the boards and protect the rim
    8. PJ become the 3rd best rocket (Harden, EG, PJ)
    9. EG stay hot
    10. Expose GW bench

I'd maybe change up defensive matchups since Tucker doesn't have to worry about KD this series.

You could have Harden or CP3's toughest defensive assignment switched to Tucker so they have fresher logs on offense. I'd plug Paul or Harden on Iguodala, switch Tucker to Green/Klay to interrupt passing/shooting and keep EG/Rivers/Shump on Curry.

I'd also look at maybe using more of our bench when starters are tired. I know it's an elimination game but part of me thinks some passivity in the 4th has to do with logging 40+ minutes the whole series. I can't help but think of that ridiculously long multiple OT game between the Blazers and OKC in the 1st round. Everyone on both teams was dragging their legs, then Rodney Hood, who had been in the doghouse that series and only logged 20 minutes for the game, came in with a fresh bounce to his step and helped the Blazers pull away with the win.

Some small minutes for Faried and House when the Warriors appear to be fatigued could really be good punch to the gut with their fresh legs this series.

Put Tucker on the guy we WANT jacking up threes? Why?

Here's how I think your statement should read: "3. Ask Tucker to move over to a bad shooter like Iguodala early"

The 'shooters' we need to focus on are Curry and Thompson. Everyone else? Pray they are the ones shooting.

The other things you mention don't have anything to do with rotation, but more strategy/outcomes.

FWIW...Rockets ARE a very good first quarter team. That hasn't always been the case in this series...and it needs to be going forward.

Agreed^^^^^^. If Capela decides to show up , this series will be over.
If both Capela & CP3 show up ,this series will be boring.
Not too much to ask for our $tar-paid Player$......

    Yep.

We not only didn't box out well last game...sometimes it seemed we weren't even trying to. Offensive rebounds are turnovers...GS shoots far too well to give them extra chances. Its really pretty amazing we kept the game as close as it was with the way we gave up rebounds.

FWIW, unless you let your man get deep in the paint...size difference doesn't matter when boxing out. If you put yourself in proper position, they have to foul you to get the ball. CP3 actually does this pretty well, and he's the smallest guy on the floor. Part of what got under KD's skin was Paul bodying him hard on rebounds. Which, btw, is what we should be doing with all of their shooters. Shooters don't like contact, wherever it occurs.

Id love to see a battle between Tucker and Draymond Green. I could really see them getting into it before it’s all said and done. You gotta keep Green from making all of those assists and keep him off of the boards. Not to mention he likes to get out on fast breaks. Tucker should be able to neutralize him
