    Why is it so hard to believe that they actually had Howard as thier back up plan? Nobody is dumb enough to go into the draft without a plan B, C, and D.

    I believe they had him as their second rated tackle on the board and they were desperate for a tackle so they picked him early. They could have traded down and gotten him or have their pick of corners and still probably get him with their second rounder. Its a matter of maximizing value which I don't think they did.

    Yeah i was hoping that Layne would make to our pick. Doesn't look good though.
    If Layne is gone then I would look to get Long and Thornhill. Get a starting OL in the 3rd.
