After going into a funk when I learned the rockets slipped to 4th place I thought the chances of winning it all were slim to none.

Then I googled the lowest seed to ever win the NBA Finals....

    94 Rockets (6th seed)

I still believe... bring on the jazz, dubs and Raptors!

Bro, how old are you?!? As a devoted Rockets fan, you shouldn't have to googled it to know about the 1995 chamioonship team. Here is a freebie: that team was not great at the onset of the playoffs (7 elimination games), but became great by the time the Magic got steamrolled in the finals.

Clutchfans started as a motor import site. I was there when it opened in 98.

Double Clutch should be required viewing for all Rockets fans. No excuse not to watch it -- its free on Youtube:

Most epic playoff run in NBA history, if you ask me.

I don’t know about Clutchfans, but Clutchcity.com (predating “Nothing but Net”) was 96 and was no motorsport site.

It was the 95 Rockets. The 94 Rockets were a 2 seed. Both teams won a championship. True story.

Only once in NBA history has a team below 3 won it all.

I never post on here but couldn't resist. 95 Rockets were also only team ever to beat 4 57+ win teams to win it all.

If you got a low seed, you typically will have two things working against you.

    1. Lack of inside game around rim.
    2. No rebounding dominance whatsoever.

When you combine those two things with no home court advantage then one can see that the odds are stacked.

Theres nothing wrong with being young. These old farts are just jealous :p you can thank the dream for that 2nd championship. Giving Robinson that mvp trophy really lit a fire under his ass xD

I remember feeling similar to how I do today back then. Only difference I was still buzzed off the first championship. And if that wasn’t magical enough here we come as the 6th through what appeared to be an impossible path but they did it and to see Houston united as a City back to back - still get goosebumps

Sixty-Nine of the 70 NBA Champions have been no lower than a FOUR seed.

The ONE exception.... "that's MY MVP"

I'm guessing the FOUR hasn't won much either. 2019 Rockets, add to that total, please. Thanks in advance.
