I think they were willing to take a risk, they weren't 100% sure about losing homecourt against us, and it's likely they'll end up winning the bet.

And while it's very possible i'm wrong, why are they not resting players in this game if they want to lose? They rested Jokic, Millsap and Murray against Portland, they could rest at least Barton, Harris and some bench guys today.

And i mean, they swept OKC this season, OKC also almost swept us, i mean, i think regular season games tells you something, but not necessarily everything, and even if they would, sending OKC against us and keep homecourt against us wouldn't exactly be a bad move considering regular season records, they could think OKC has a good chance to knock us out before we can face them.

I mean, like i said, i'm probably wrong, in fact i want to be wrong, but to me giving up homecourt in the 2nd round against your worst matchup, just to play OKC instead of San Antonio in the 1st, sounds like a suicide.

I have to say the game is still super close and we're almost at the half now, which seems a bit strange from my point of view, but we'll see.

Nuggets do not want to win the game, but also do not want to appear to be tanking. Hence the conflicts.

Thats what happens when you mess around at the beginning of the season.

Games at the beginning of the season count just as much as the games at the end for seeding purposes.

Rockets could have been sitting pretty at the No. 1 spot right now.

Can someone update on the situation. If Denver loses and Portland loses what seed are we, 2nd?

It doesn't even matter what Portland does if Denver loses. But to answer your question, yes.

They got backlash when it was revealed what they were doing when they were tanking to avoid the Rockets. If they are tanking to face their better match up vs OKC, their starters were still going to play to circumvent the possible scrutiny of the gambit..

It tells you enough IMO. Match ups are everything in the playoffs. Denver will be talking about it at Halftime for sure. Young team, with no alpha super duper star, against the Spurs and Pop? LOL, good luck!

    Fair enough.

I just hope to be wrong, in my view getting the Spurs and homecourt in 2nd round would be an amazing gift by Denver that i'd gladly take.

Nuggets last playoff is 2012-13. If they win the first round, it will be a big successful season for them. If they lose in the first round, it will be a disappointment for sure.

51-50 Denver over Minnesota at the half. The T'Wolves actually could win this game. They probably would win had they played Towns tonight.
