While the sour fruit of the Adams family tree has seemingly scotched all talk of Houston being able to celebrate the Luv Ya Blue with a throwback unis game or two, has anyone else divined an ulterior motive in her comments, say, that she actually has a $$$ number in mind? <iframe src="" width="640" height="360" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> And in all reality, WhTF in Nashville cares about Luv Ya Blue, apart from her?
The Texans wouldn't pay one penny for the right to wear Oiler throwbacks. Guarantee it. In fact I don't think they would do it under any scenario.
I hope this STOPS all the whiners talk about wanting the Texans to adopt the Oilers colors, name, etc.......... https://www.chron.com/sports/texans...rs-throwback-jerseys-13724545.php?cmpid=hpctp
I have a feeling Titans would wear the throwbacks against the Texans....ON THE ROAD....just to rub it in.
Interestingly, this article is the one with the very quote I'm talking about: "To further stick the dagger in the hearts of Houston football fans, Adams Strunk, the daughter of former Oilers owner Bud Adams, even said perhaps the Titans will wear the Oilers throwbacks themselves." Once again... is there anyone who considers him/herself a TITANS fan, with whom this resonates? Call me a cynic but I know what it sounds like to ramp up demand...
Funny thing is I had a conversation with a buddy that is a converted Titans fan (after being a lifelong Oilers fan) just yesterday (he was trash-talking DeAndre about his comments) and he refuses to accept the reasoning as to why some of the Texans players would want to wear the Oilers uniform. It’s all about the love for the city and showing appreciation to the Luv Ya Blue days. Tennessee doesn’t care about the Oilers, Earl Campbell, the run-n-shoot or Warren Moon. Some people just don’t get it.
^ THIS LAST PIC... What's striking to me is the familial similarity between DSW and the inspiration for his wearing Oilers #1... ironically, the last time Houston had a Franchise QB...
If the Titans choose to wear Oilers throwbacks against us, we should ask Buffalo for permission to wear '92 Bills throwbacks. Oilers were mostly a trainwreck, both on and off the field.
they are having issues finding cheap train tracks... since new ones cost too much before they can even start the train.
2019 or 2020 season? Either way, I believe it'll be something like what the Titans did. A little shake up but nothing major. We'll probably barely tell the difference.
