Sorry about this guys... it's always an ongoing battle. I'm stumped why that would suddenly be happening. There are no questionable ad services being used so something has to be leaking through. I've removed an ad at the bottom of the page. Let me know if this continues. Thanks. Also... are you logged in with your account when the redirect occurs? Or are you logged out surfing as a lurker?
It always happens to me when logged in, but I don’t really hit the site as a lurker so I’m not sure if that makes a difference either way.
I keep on getting redirected when I’m logged in. I keep on getting redirected to a page that says a gift for Comcast customers. It looks like the page is from Gujarat judging by the address listed
I’m always lodged in through my iPhone .... FYI .... I didn’t get redirected at all when I wrote this, THIS is a good sign, it usually happens within seconds! Hope whatever you did fixed the problem. Thanx @Clutch!! Edit: STILL getting redirected... ....... ....... .......
Happened to me again on my iPhone today. Redirected me to some "You won a prize!" bullshit for my ISP. I was NOT logged in and was lurking if that helps.
Sounds like a massive phone! On topic, I was redirected today while being logged in on my (much smaller) i-Phone.
@Clutch I haven’t been hijacked for a couple of hours! Not sure if lucky or you terminated the culprit?? ....... ....... .......
@Clutch Its taking 8-12 seconds for Chrome to fully resolve on most pages Firefox frequently hangs up On a browser that I will not name, it resolves the pages consistently within a second.
More 'congrats on your iphone!' popups when Im on the mobile site. More weird ads at the bottom of the page (including explicit p*rn DVDs lol). Firefox even warns that this webpage isn't secure. Seriously, you guys need to sort this out. I love this forum but it's a security risk, you're asking to get hacked and have data stolen. This is a massive website and you have supporting members, I appreciate all the work that has gone into clutchfans, but it is not hard to have a secure website in 2019.
It's a constant battle against redirects on mobile but this particular case and problem was found and resolved. There are no p*rn sites on here, obviously. As far as the alert that the site is "not secure"... it's because it's not on a secured https site. It's a standard alert that started in July for all websites not on https. https://www.theverge.com/2018/2/8/16991254/chrome-not-secure-marked-http-encryption-ssl I just haven't messed with it but obviously I need to just so it doesn't give this wrong impression.
Thanks @Clutch for replying to the board and @omgTHEpotential post in particular. Most of us that take the time to post in feedback, love Clutchfans, and appreciate it when you keep us in the loop. Keep up the good work on making this site, the BEST site in the interwebz!! Go Rockets !!! ....... ....... .......
This is as bad as I've ever seen it here today on Android phone, redirect/congratulations then have to block and close before the "block allow" pops up again. Three times in a row, logged in, just navigating threads.
