Yeah, I've posted Tommy Emmanuel, Andy Mckee, listened to Sungha Jung (All back in 2010), but... as a duo, and as a FFVI fanatic for most of my life. Holy Mother of... Okay, so one more Tommy video as well
Tommy Emmanuel’s renditions of classical gas and somewhere over the rainbow are next level. DADGAD shenanigans are always fun!
This Alexandr Misko kid is one of the most innovative finger style guitarist I've seen lately. He is literally inventing new sounds on the acoustic guitar.
If you've never heard of it or seen one, don't even ask questions just give me your credit card so I can have one of these harp guitars made for me. I believe he actually made his own. Definitely have to inquire a luthier to get one and they are super cheap seriously just buy me one.
hopefully this link works. this guy's guitar is genius, I don't think necessarily frets the middle neck, which is a 7 string I think he uses it in mold of a harp guitar, and then he's got the bass strings at the bottom where he is able to fret them with the right hand near the sound hole instead of typical left hand fretting or even tapping....just the set up is genius but the guy also rocks the **** out. he's got a couple videos worth the watch too.
What was so amazing about the guy on American Idol last night, was it because he was doing this finger-style guitar or was it something different? I mean I liked him, but didn't draw jop like the judges.
I wish they had a better camera angle of it but it kinda looked like he was doing a kinda modified version of a flamenco roll. There’s practically nothing left about guitar to break ground on but the way he used the pointer finger, thumb to alternate picking was pretty clever and probably came up with it organically I.e. self taught. Coolest thing I’ve sen on American idol ever so thanks for that l
