Reports are the deal with Philly is done pending physicals

Sanchez, Alfaro and a 3rd piece

I'd say Miami did a good job waiting until they got the offer they wanted. Sanchez is not a top 10 guy like Whitley/Tucker, but he is generally a top 25-30 overall guy and Alfaro a really good second piece

Wonder if this helps Philly get either Machado or Harper, if they have offered the best deal maybe adding a guy like Realmuto convinces them to go

If Philly doesn’t get Harper or Machado, they should certainly have enough money to extend Realmuto (probably will regardless).

That’s a good return for Miami, although Sanchez and Alfaro carry significant risk, as will the 3rd piece.

Obviously would have liked him as a player, but I never expected we would meet their demands.

Be it a long term contract, or significant trade pieces, I have never been a fan of investing significant resources in a player who's value is tied up in catching. Never have been, never will be.

Miami was reportedly offered better last season. That said, looking like a great deal for right now for Miami.

I would take the over on Miami winning 70 games. Decent team just lacks established stars:

    C Alfaro/Wallach
    1B Walker/O’Brien
    2B Castro
    SS Riddle/Rojas
    3B Prado
    RF Anderson
    CF Brinson
    LF Granderson/Dean/Cooper/Sierra/Harrison
    SP Urena/Chen/Straily/Richards/Smith/Alcantara
    RP Steckenrider/Conley/Ferrell/Guerrero/Guzman/EHernandez/TBD
