Real or Fake? Story of Beta-7

Have you guys seen this before?

It's the story of a guy who claims to have been one of the beta testers for Sega's NFL 2K4 when they were testing out new first-person views in the game. He then claimed to be suffering from blackouts and violent behavior. Long story about how Sega covered up a bunch of stuff, etc. This 9-minute video is real entertaining if nothing else:

My feeling is it's fake, that this was an attempt by Sega to get big publicity of the game... every time I see the person "tackle" someone I feel it's fake, and that security cams conveniently seem to catch this far too often. However, at the same time this does not look like the kind of attention or promotion that Sega would want. Looks legit in that sense.

The story ended with his apartment destroyed and his disappearance in September, according to his website.

I just happened to see the video and was curious what others thought. For all I know this has been officially debunked already somewhere.

 

Damn ... my research failed miserably this time. Good catch guys ... thanks for passing that along. I was seriously torn between, "OK, that part is clearly fake" and "Why would Sega do this to themselves?"
