    Amazing that trump threatens a government shutdown, then does it and takes the mantle for it, then for weeks Democrats keep offering a deal, trump finally takes that same deal on day 35, and republicans have the nerve to tweet this? The American people correctly blamed trump, and now he tries to take credit?

    I don't understand how the most vocal supporters ended up so quiet because one event didn't go their way. That lack of humility, lack of fortitude - that is the true measure of a snowflake.

    It’s so predictable and weak. Notice that when the special counsel disputed the BuzzFeed report, they all showed up to high five. Even created a separate thread to gloat in. As soon as there’s a bit of bad news, they disappear.

    Trump is going to spend the next few weeks stewing in his own impotent rage, wounded by the news commentators that he cares about calling him names...

    I tend to agree. After all we just witnessed, even his supporters should have the ability to see that the mistake-in-chiefs' use of the "threat" of a declaration of a "national emergency" is hollow. Call his bluff Nancy. Let the courts slap him down this time.

    Just peaking in to see what the discussion is. I'm disappointed but not surprised that most Trump supporters aren't posting. I was curious to see what they would be saying. On my FB feed they've all been posting stuff about abortion the last few days and nothing about the wall, shutdown or Trump.

    The one positive thing though about this shutdown is that legislation is now moving to keep a shutdown from happening again over something like this. That said I really caution those of us who have been against Trump from taking a victory lap here. Things change daily with this Administration and nothing can be taken for granted.

    Speaking of, anyone have theories on why the Fox News twitter handle has been silent for 3 months. I don’t buy that it’s still related to the whole Tucker Carlson thing. Apparently it started the day after Rupert Murdoch had a meeting with Mitch McConnell. Very weird.
