I worked on cars a lot as a teenager 20 years ago. I mostly struggle with the computer systems. Otherwise I usually can fix it. Very fortunate that my best friend was sent to Germany to help design engines for BMW so I have someone that can do just about anything with a car.

If we do the Viper we are moving on to doing a Bullitt Mustang.

That's perfect, I think with your mechanical experience you'll be able to help a lot regardless, especially on the older Vipers etc, and then your friend will be able to cover everything else. And the computers aren't too bad but can be a pita, I think some mechanics/dealerships try to make it sound really hard (depending on make/model etc.), but you can definitely learn as you go, especially with his experience (I'm sure he can teach you a ton to get you caught up).

Regardless, I think that sounds awesome!! lately all my projects are out of need and not fun.. Hopefully I can do that eventually, haha. Man that Mustang would be sweet too, you should make your own thread once you get started. I know there has to be some other gearheads around here that would find it interesting (I know I would).

So... weird bump... do you mean it has a lower stance compared to the other 2018 trims or compared to the 2017 models?

I got the 2018 Sport 2.0 and while it is a great car it feels like it sits SUPER low to the ground and it bothers my knees/back to get into and out of it.

What the hell is that. Mid 90s had few iconic car designs. Supra being one, and one of a handful out of Japan.

    This ain’t it chief.

That can't be real especially when it weighs 3400 lb.

Like the brz which costs $26000 and weighs 2750lb and has 205hp .

This looks like someone bought an rx8 and tried to mod it in high school with ebay body kits.

Theyre saying there are 2 different 2.0 4cyl motors. One at 255hp and the mentioned 194hp. I would assume the 255hp is coming here. Still very underwhelming at that base price.

If I'm going to spend 55 grand on a fun car now, it is going to be between a M2 Comp, Camaro 1LE, Mustang GT350 or Cayman.

They all at least come with a third pedal option.

M2 Comp is probably the best combo for daily drivability and fun.

Ugghh that looks nothing like a corvette. I don't care for that at all.

    Too expensive, but yeah.

Might want to do this in the interim. I own one and it has been great.

    Almost always but not always.

Last year with the dealer incentives and states/federal tax credit for hybrids, you could get a new Prius Prime cheaper than what you could grab one at used market.

Almost $10,000 in combined Toyota incentives + Dealer discount + $4500 Federal tax credit + $1500 Massachusetts state credit.

Or I can just get a 1-2 year old cayman s and enjoy porsche quality.

That thing is hideous. Something a high school senior would drive to pick up his prom date.
    Fake vents galore.

After owning two camrys, two altimas, pilot and mdx, I am done with Japanese car makers.
Their designs are just so blah. Exhibit A: new accord, most new toyotas, lexus front grille...

So I am currently in the market for a used Sedan/SUV with said requirements...

    - 2015-2019 (Was not sure the quality of a used vehicle being 5 yrs old so stopped at 2015)
    - < 45,000 miles
    - Dual heated seats/Bluetooth/Led Screen/Ample rear seating/Leather interior/Above average speakers
    - Low maintenance costs
    - Luxury type build
    - $20K budget or less than $375/month

I had some cars in mind but would really like to get opinions on the route to go. I was considering a lease but since I drive around 18,000 miles a year, that would be out of the question...

    - MB 2015/2016 C300
    - Lexus 2015 IS250/ES350
    - Infiniti 2015/2016 Q50 Premium
    - 2015 Genesis
    - 2017 Mazda 6

I got a F90 BMW M5 and my life has been different ever since. I’ve never enjoyed driving until this car- where now just like the commercials I’m willing to go get groceries just to drive in it.
