Very credible thing. Here is more on it: https://www.ncaa.com/news/basketbal...ed-ncaa-adopts-new-college-basketball-ranking We're all new to it because it's new this year. NET Ranking is the new ranking system adopted by the NCAA to replace the old ranking system they also created and used for years, RPI. NET replaces RPI as the ranking system the selection committee uses to consider teams going into the tournament. It's different from AP & Coaches ranking polls. It can't be the say all end all cause for years teams with a low RPI weren't getting in the tournament and teams with a high RPI were. I guess the new NET ranking like the old RPI ranking is just one of several factors in determining who gets in. Being 21 on the AP, 20 on the Coaches, and 7 on the NET certainly helps Houston's chances though. Just got to keep stacking Ws.
Coogs to compete in Honolulu in Hawaiian Airlines Diamond Head Classic as part of 8-team field during 2019-20 season https://247sports.com/college/washi...iian-Airlines-Diamond-Head-Classic-126726925/
Anybody go to the game? Wondering what type of crowd we drew against a team we were favored to beat by 32 points. Easy win. Looking forward to moving up in the polls tomorrow.
NFL was actually interesting enough this week to watch every game. So I totally abandoned the Cougars. Glad to see they crushed it.
There were a couple not on during non conference, but now that conference play is starting next week pretty much every game will be on one of the ESPN networks or CBS Sports network so all will be available to watch if you have a subscription.
NJIT is 11-2. This is another quality club. We've taken on some serious teams this year even when not considered elite. It's been a delicious run against quality opposition.
Lol, they're a powerhouse all right, beating up on mighty Kean, Farleigh Dickinson, Colgate, Wagner, etc.... But you're right overall, Sampson has done a good job scheduling a few legit programs in non-conference each year.
