Rockets seeking trade this week after waiving House

He just got traded to the Wolves for Butler. What is the time frame to acquire him in a trade? Why would Minnesota want to trade him to a big WC rival like Houston?

 

I mean, he's getting 22 minutes a night, and is playing much better than he was in Philly this year. BUt do I think he can be even better... yes.

 

Ben means Melo would have to go. House is no longer part of the 15-man roster.

I said it wrong. I was referencing the roster spot temporarily gained by originally waiving House, but the tweet sounded like I was stating that they cleared a roster spot for trade purposes by signing him to the two-way (there's no trade correlation since it was used for Clark). Poor phrasing on my part, my bad.

 

The Rockets have 15 guaranteed contracts with the Clark signing. I wonder if they have a small trade that's lined up. On the other hand, it's possible that no change may occur for now.

 

Because they want a player right now who can contribute and be potentially
flipped by the February 7th deadline.

Well House has cleared waivers and been signed to a 2way contract. Will be in uniform tonight vs Utah.

The talk of 'Rockets seek trade' was clearly a cover up so nobody would claim House off waivers. The art of misdirection - "what trade are the Rockets looking for??" But the move was actually to sign Clark to a 3 year contract and bring back House on a 2 way in time for the Jazz game.

Ok, so Morey is always investigating the best trade option, but it wasn't like we waived House to free a roster spot to make a trade.
