    At this point, I think I would include Gordon in the trade.

    Let’s face it, this team isn’t going anywhere as presently constructed.

    At least with butler, you’ll have a second star to go with harden which will prolong their championship window as cp3 ages and GSW possibly losing KD.

    Lets find out if Minn accepts the first offer before we start giving up more. Not really a strong point of negotiation to put everything you have into it from the beginning.

    I would guess any asking for Gordon comes from Thibodeau who still very much wants to win now.

    Gordon for Butler deal would add $70 million spending for Tilman next season, that is the problem.

    After giving up 3 firsts to Wolves, Knight is not tradable (salary dump) next summer.

    My strategy would be “now the offer is 3 firsts and chriss” and do not budge. Show Minnesota that if we’re gonna be making offers and pissing off EG they better be serious. If you’re Minnesota, you fire thibs and take the 3 picks at that point. You don’t look bad, because he cost you a first round pick on a deal he clearly should have accepted.

    I mean he's saying that it doesn't move the needle against GS. If they want the picks and Gordon, than they can kick rocks.

    No of course butler is a better player than Gordon, but I agree with that poster that we aren’t winning a title by swapping Gordon and butler. Shooting gets even worse.

    If it doesnt move the needle ,then we should just trade harden and cp for picks.yes gordon is a better 3point shooter. But butler is a star that is better in every other aspect than gordon ,yes he does move the needle.

    Cause there could be other trades that we can make, it's not get another all star or bust imo, though admittedly I still have a slim hope we can get back to form.Moving the needle=winning and Butler may give you better chance at beating them but it's not significant imo.
