There's no downside. If he makes the team worse, dantoni won't play him. Simple as that. Upside is bigger than downside

 

I don't like Melo but of the players available to play basketball in the world for the veterans minimum he is worth a flyer.

I don't think that will be the case.

Also, keep in mind that we had blown losses against GS w/o Melo....losses that having Melo probably would have prevented.
