Father Time is undefeated. Even those juicing break down. Not saying Olajuwon juiced.....others.

    I agree.

I’ve been through Moses Malone, Calvin Murphy......Earl Campbell, Billy “White Shoes” Johnson.....Nolan Ryan, Jose
    Cruz, J.R. Richards.

Love them all. Just don’t want to dwell in the past.....and the young 20 year olds here will never grasp the true
artistry of the greats. I don’t hold it against them, because some day some 20 y/o will be asking them who is LeBron James? James Harden? You may be laughing; but I see people asking who is MJ?
    Was he good?

More power to you Tinman for trying to educate our youth.....keep up the fight. You might be just spinning
    your wheels.

It's the NBA's fault. Rockets were and always have been a team that stands in the way of more popular teams. Rockets don't earn anything on their own through hard work, great players, and smart management/coaching, we get lucky. Nothing has changed, it was this way in the 70's, 80's, 90's, 00's, 10's, and into the future.

I never saw an opposing center consistently outplay Hakeem. Players like Kareem or Parish might have a good game against him, but it wouldn't happen twice. Hakeem could adapt to any matchup.

Hakeem would get destroy by this GSW team as well as any team in the 90s. Stop living the past.

    If you say so.

That’s like dating a virtual reality woman, IMO. I will respectfully pass.

Tupac is dead and I hope people don’t think badly of him because of some terrible movies

We can’t transport people back to the 90s but we can let them learn through other means

That’s what’s great about the information era

The truth is there we can find or Alexa can

No doubt. I would suggest they you tube the games. Because NBATV shows Hardwood Classics; but not necessarily the Rockets old games, all the time.

One can see Olajuwon at his finest. The ups and the downs. The success and the failures. There can be no light
without darkness......no Good without Evil.....one must have something to compare something against.

I just don’t think the game captures the true essence of the greatness of Olajuwon and what he overcame. Olajuwon was demanding to be traded before their championship. He felt like he was playing with a bunch
of funkiest. He had to learn to trust them. But, To each their own.

You may be right, something is better than nothing. Carry on with your bad self Mr. Tinman.

I was 3 years old when the Rockets won their first championship. I have played NBA Jam and all of the video games like NBA Live and NBA 2K as well. Not to mention NBA Street. I know Hakeem and have seen his highlights from Clutch City the movie about our championships and then through videos on YouTube. Not to mention reading books about him and our championships as well. I wish I were a little older when we won those ships to appreciate them a little more. I still think Hakeem is one of the best players of all time. It’s just a little harder to appreciate not seeing him play in person.

It's impossible to recreate time periods which you were not there. Unless you are 100 years old you can tell us the difference between Wilt and Yao Ming.

However video games is the newest media to keep their memory active and new.
