    There we go.

Tough luck for Clint with not many teams out there with the cap to spend this off-season. But as I had said earlier, using some risk analysis the smart move for him was to secure the long term security especially given that Rockets offer wasn't too bad. It would be too risky a move for him to give that up for potentially getting more next year (injuries, market next off-season, performance next season) for a "marginal" gain especially since he would be leaving a lot of money on the teable for this season alone by taking the QA offer.

Rockets and Morey got lucky with the market!

Clint is being paid as the 18th highest paid center at 17.5 ave. Who would you take in front of him? I would only take Horford, Embiid, Towns and Jokic. They get paid 25 mil a season. And Capela can still get better!

At $25M a year(4 years $100M) I was arguing for a sign and trade.(because keeping him at that price would hurt the team) At $20M a year I think you just sign him and maybe flip him later. But at $16M(guaranteed), Clint is a huge asset and we are better off just keeping him for ourselves.

    Dream team:

    Capela
    Melo
    Harden
    Gordon
    CP3

    Oh my.
you need 8 more defensive minded players to complete the line up. you'll always have 2 scorer on the floor.

The real question is how much bang for the buck, can you get? I'm not asking Melton to outplay Batum. Batum will be better than RA, but he isn't likely to move the needle with his injury history.

I did say outplay, because I have little faith in Batum, but there is no doubt Nic has more experience and is more skilled than Melton. I do expect Melton to play close to the level of his contract, with good defense, some shooting and some passing. I still believe Batum can't move the needle and his contract will be hard to move.

The point forward is probably Lamar Odom. Nowadays he’s prob as wide as Anthony Mason was.

He’s got his money. Now what are you going to do? Don’t be like Kelvin Cato.

    Clint has great character

He won’t be the type to fall flat after getting his money.
