Every team in the west has improved. It is not easy to win many games in the west this season.
Suns add #1 pick, Kings add #2 pick, Mavs add #3 pick, Memphis add #4 pick, Lakers add LeBron
Projected win totals for 8 playoffs teams
    1. Warriors 62
    2. Rockets - 52 (rest Chris Paul 20 games)
    2. Spurs - 52 - added DeRozan, Lonnie walker, Poeltl (Kawhi plays almost nothing last year)
    2. OKC - 52 getting Roberson back
    3. Jazz - 51 young core, can prepare in the offseason to build a better offense
    3. Pelicans - 51 AD/Jrue are getting better. Mirotic is a great addition
    3. Memphis - 51 Gasol and Conley when healthy are great. Added Kyle Anderson and JJJ
    3. Blazers - 51 - no change

Chris Paul rested about 20 last year and we won 65. You think ariza and luc are worth 13 wins even with the other additions? I say 60 easy.

The spurs "added some people", so they'll match the Rockets and OKC? Can't dig it. I also don't see Memphis turning around that much.

I like Demar but the Spurs are not on our level.

So basically you think the Rockets are a bubble playoff team and will be playing for their playoff lives on the last day of the season.

    I'll bet against that.

I think anywhere from 55-65 wins is possible. I know that's a big range, but there's a lot in play. I'm not as sold as others that they'll easily slide in at 1 or 2, but can't see them any worse than 3.

We won 55 games the year before we had CP3. Are you saying this team is worse than that?

    so yer saying Ennis/MCW/Melton > Ariza/Luc?

I'll concede that it was wise not to pay Ariza 15M... and I can even see future injury concerns making one wary of Luc... but neither of those concerns existed to start the season last year...

...and thats not even factoring in Clint's 'situation'...

We are not better than we were to start the season last year... we've lost ground... we can make it up, but we are not better as it stands now...

No Nuggets..Wolves..or Lakers in the playoffs?

I don't think anyone knows how the West will play out.

    Should be fun tho!

52? No way. We are a 60 win team period. The changes weaker teams made doesn’t put any of them above us

    Here are my predictions.

    1 Houston - why not?
    2 GSW
3 Spurs - adding an actual player, they were only 2 wins away from number 3 spot last season.

4 OKC - PG and Westbrook with be better gel plus Robertson back.

5 Portland - they are the same

6 to 9, hard battle between them NO lost pitbull, Mitchell not gonna surprise anyone, pups is having issue between players, Denver maybe able to squeeze in. Not to mention Lebron trying to fight for the 7th or 8th seed.

And Capela in a contract year.

Schedule matters. Who we play early in the season and when will factor into win loss predictions. E.G, If we play all our Lakers games at the beginning of the season, we will win them all guaranteed. If we play them later, they might have improved.

this dude said Rockets will only win 52 games...

Harden, CP3, and Capela isn’t winning just 52 games...Idc if CP3 misses his expected 20 or so games

Harden by himself is good for more than that
