That scenario has literally no chance to happen anyway, we're not going to get Korver for Anderson, let alone Love.
If I were the Rockets I would much rather give Kevin Love 25 over the next two years over Ryno at 20 for two years. As for Melo, beggars can’t be choosers. If he really wants to start that bad then he can go to Miami and do nothing for the rest of his career.
Bulls in: Anderson. 1 first from Hou, 1 first from Cavs and a second from Hou Cavs in: Lopez, Nene, Bobby Portis and a first from Houston. Rox in: Love and Korver Definitely mortgaging the future but how open is the window with CP3?
The problem here is that Cleveland, no matter what they say about not having interest in trading Love, they will do it and they will tank, no way they trade their pick. As for us, we need to have those 1st rounders to trade when a star is available, i'd move those picks for guys like Leonard, Butler...for Love expiring, ugh.
Love and Korver will improve our shooting and rebounding, but our defense will remain weak. This won't make much of a difference in our overall standing.
The Cavs will demand Melton, maybe Clark, and probably 2 other unprotected lottery picks, along with RA and even that might not be enough.
Leonard and Butler ain't happening for the picks or players that the Rockets currently have. Good point on the Cavs not wanting to give up a first, though. They are pretty barren when it comes to picks., they don't even have their 2019 pick (1-10 protected and rolls over to 2020 if they are top 10 in the draft, idk what that means trade-wise but it's not good. I just figured that Portis HAS to be worth something. Hell, the Cavs could probably move him again at the deadline or resign him with bird rights.
