"For all the pressure we're putting on Magic to pull something off, sooner or later we gotta realize that LeBron is acting as a GM as well and if KD laughs off the idea and if CP3 passes on the idea and if Paul George passes on the idea, that's not a good look for LeBron James." - Will Cain

"In other words, guys ain't as anxious to play with him as some may think." - SAS

Had a dream last night that I was at Disneyland and saw Lebron James with family near Adventure Land. I threw up the H and he shook his head and said "me and James don't work, not going to Houston" and walked off.

I proceeded to go onto ClutchFans to make a thread about my experience then got roasted for not having pics. No sauces.

    BAD DREAM.

Woke up and felt relieved. Every time I have dreams, the exact opposite happens in real life (when pertaining to sports stuff). Rockets winning Game 7 and Astros losing Game 7... Let's see what happens

It depends on how much you are signing Capela for. If you're maxing out Capela, that's $25M. In that scenario, Capela and Gordon together are $38.5M while Leonard only makes $20M so at the highest level the salaries don't work.

Additionally, if you max out Capela then he's going to be a BYC player so for trade purposes he only counts $12.5M for Houston's outgoing salary but would count the full $25M for SA's incoming salary. That would further complicate the salary matching.

Since you'd be doing a SnT with Capela, San Antonio would immediately become hardcapped for the remainder of the season. That may or may not be an issue depending on the direction they would be planning to go in a post-Kawhi world.

    That's a little misleading though.

Kevin Durant is on the best team in the league, potentially best team of all time, putting together a dynasty and already took a hit to his legacy. There's no way he'd take another hit to his legacy to go team up with Lebron and play second banana. Lebron was crazy to even think that.

Chris Paul is more interesting, but Paul made a MOVE. He moved to Houston. His kids go to school here. He's a family man. He's not looking to change his whole life around AND he's on the second best team in the league that he already hand picked.

Most guys aren't like Lebron where their commitment is only to their own brand. I mean honestly, Lebron leaving Miami for Cleveland and not telling his so called best friend DWade until the last minute and NEVER telling Bosh who was holding up his own contract? Most guys aren't like that. I think it probably be hard for CP3 to "betray" James Harden and the Rockets. Lebron never has that problem.

Paul George is apparently going through the same thing. He wants to go LA but he has a personal relationship now with Russ and the coaches there. Might be hard for him to walk away from those guys.

That said, other guys do want to play with him in LA, like Kawhi.

    The MVP question. Lol

They had "voter fatigue" the moment they had no choice but to pick Harden.

    Looks about right.

Harden is all but ruled out. He'd need to do something ridiculous to be considered again.

Lebron is the favorite because the narrative now is that he deserved it this year.
AD is on that list as the "next in line" guy
Durant has been "punished" enough so he's back in line

Stephen A. mentioned Kawhi may not like the idea of playing with LeBron.

Yup, and that means Paul George will get relegated to being counted as "no help" yet again this year if the goes to the Lakers with Lebron.
