MVP is a regular season only award, so no, Lebron should not have won this, and it was made obvious by the fact that Bron only got 15 1st place votes
This is my projection/prediction from my MVP Vote Tracker thread. Harden actually ended up with 86 first-place votes, LeBron got 15, and AD stole 7 second-place votes from LeBron.

the narrative will always and forever be against the beard. it's the hand we're dealt. i just hope that now we got this individual accolade out of the way, we can focus on winning a championship.

Wait huh? Ok, maybe he took his team to the Finals... um, but they got swept. We took the eventual champs to 7. Flip the teams and put the Cavs in the West, they most likely wouldn't even make it past the second round let alone to the WCF. Take the Rockets to the East and they have a much easier path to the Finals and quite possibly a much larger chance to take down the Warriors. They would not be briskly crossing the finish line as they did in the Finals if they were facing us after winning out in the West. This rhetoric is and has been flawed.
