Obviously he didn't have a perfect game. And there are definitely things that he needs to work on this offseason, as all players should. However, I can see that he absolutely gave his best shot this game, despite being 2-13 from three. His defense this series has impressed me. If the comes at the expense of some accuracy, I'll take that for the playoffs. That's what the rest of the team is for, and tonight, nobody was hitting shots consistently, though whether that was an outlier or due to their hard work on defense remains to be seen. 32, 6, 6, and 5 steals is a good line for Game 7, and for much of the game I think he passed my eye test as well. some threads that were made should be unmade
Its mind blowing that anyone would blame him honestly. Dude went up against 4 allstars by himself, without his 2nd best player. No blame, just like you can't blame leBron for '15
He forces too many threes. He turns it over too much due to excessive dribbling. He makes really bad passes sometimes. He wastes too much of the shot clock. He holds the ball too long. He walks around the court too much. He only plays defense sometimes. Yet, in spite of all that, he’s still a great player. Those shortcomings are a bit too much to overcome though. He’s gotta work on some of that in the offseason. I’d also like to see him bring his midrange J that was money in 2015 back.
He did his best. Can't blame him. He didn't shrink. He gave it all he could but can't carry 0-12 Ariza and 1 for 7 green
Harden is who he is. I thought he really commited on d this playoffs. Now he has to figure out how to play offense while on d
Disagree This is Clutchfans We must burn Harden at the stake within seconds of the season ending. That is the rule. In fact...take him to a sports therapist while we're at it!
Not here to trash Harden but you only get so many opportunities, he needed a statement game to shut up all the BS. This was our last chance due to our cap situation.
He is only 1 guy dude, he was against KD, Curry, Green and Thompson. Lots of people consider Curry and KD top 3 players right now, so you are asking him to beat the top 2, top 3 and 2 other all stars by himself. He did his best, that's about all you can ask of him.
Harden did a good job in this series. I think about half way through the second half tonight though (when Scott Foster took over), Mike D'Antoni should have pulled Harden aside and told him the same thing Kerr told Durant in Game 3 I think: 'drive and dish but don't wait until you're in traffic to dish, do it on the way down.' I think if he had gotten some coaching he might have been able to turn the tides. Then again, the players waiting on the perimeter need to be able to make shots. Solid series by Hard overall IMHO.
The entire team was garbage at 3s. This loss was not on Harden, but their lack of shooting. Not having CP3 hurt too of course
Harden showed up. I don't get this dream envy, but it is what it is. Too much wasted energy arguing with dipshit haters. We brought cp3 for games like this one. He is too injury prone and that has got be an issue to address. We have no choice but to resign him. I guarantee Jim will go back to his lab in the off-season and watch tape off this series to work on.
I agree with you but we consider him a superstar. We judge those guys unfairly. This was our best chance. To keep this team together will be real expensive and I’m not sure we have the room to get better.
