he and his agent probably got wind that a max contract from the Pelicans is not in the cards. i think he's going to take a 1-year deal somewhere for ~$15-$20 million (Phoenix?) to get his value back up.

 

The type of injury that Cousins had is quite serious.

Having said that, when the Rockets lose to the Warriors, I am sure Morey will be sniffing around and add him to his master plan of fall back options.

Would Cousins (even if healthy) make the Rockets better? I don't know, but he would increase the talent level if options like LeBron, George etc. don't work.

A shame about Cousins---in more way than one. He has the talent if not the maturity. And that's one tough injury to overcome.

I DO believe DMC could be an option for the Mavs. And Randle make sense for them too.

 

It's surprising they'd be dumb enough to commit that much money to Cousins after the ROI on Wesley Matthews. Giving a guy max money after a devastating injury is a huge risk.
