Hindsight we drafted the right guy and then traded him for peanuts, especially when the silent warriror decides to miss games on purpose screwing the sperms. Back when he was with us, hes a chucker, selfish prick and not efficient,we even debated if we got the right morris bros. This is true even when hes in phoenix with his other twins markief. Fastforward, to Celtics days, hes been the better of the two twins, hes been lethal from three and clutch situations, when his bro markieff starting to disappear into oblivion.
Traded him to clear cap space for Dwight. He is useful now, but guy drafted right after him was Kawhi
Classic Clutchfans. You guys hated him when he was known only as the guy picked before Kawhi. Shame on all of you.
Let's be honest. Kwahi benefited from being with pop. It's kinda obvious the same thing is happening with Marcus and Stevens. Infact, besides Roziers and to a lesser extent Tatum. I don't believe any of the players that's playing (NOT talking about kyrie or hayward) for Stevens would have the same impact playing for anybody else.....maybe a prime Hortford
I don't think he should have been picked before Kawhi...but I've been parroting it for years, trading him for a 2nd round pick there was a dumbass decision. He wasn't a bad player. I've dropped my anti-morey narrative though, the Harden trade is enough to make up for his other stupid moves. If he signed or tried to trade for Melo I would be back on that other end but you gotta live with these moves. In the long run we've been fine.
McHale screwed around with Morris instead of allowing him to develop. He was in love with Parsons not realizing he could have played them together. It was always one or the other with McHale. Just another example of why McHale should never be on a team's sideline or front office.
The league is always evolving players played positions not to there personal strength when Morris was drafted. Milk Hair was part of that evolution but not the inventor.
The details are a little fuzzy now but I think we brought in three young power forwards, DMO, Terrance Jones, and Royce, that at the time projected to be better. Also, I think he was getting outplayed by young Chandler. He also had a battery charge that year. I think that's why all we could get for him, at that time, was a second rounder. I would have never thought that out of those 5, Chandler, DMO, Terrance, Royce and Marcus, Marcus would come out better than the rest. Gawd, having to recount what happened to Marcus just reminded of how much bad luck we had and how far we have come.
