In last night's game against the Lakers in the 2nd half the Rox had a few brilliant transition plays. It seems like on paper at least the Rox have the ability to play great transition ball with fast aggressive guards, a mobile offensive minded bigman in Taylor and centers who are big and strong enough to throw good outlet passes. I'm wondering why the Rox under both Rudy or JVG haven't tried to play a more open style of game that would be more entertaining and also help defeat zones?

Imagine this: Yao takes a rebound on the defensive end and Francis and Mobley take off right away out running defenders. Yao throws a long pass over defenders out to Francis just past the half court line. Francis dribbles to the free throw line and whips it past a lone defender to Mobley coming up from the wing for a wide open dunk.

Is it just not possible for JVG or the players to play this sort of style?

Yao's rebounding technique is not good. This is why the guards stay back to help with the boards.

That's true but they could run the break with Cato starting it to.
