Off shooting night is accurate even ask morey mda and cp3

Why bad game? Wasnt he aggressive, passing, and defending well?

    Plus 20 pt blowout

Right now only 3 players in the POs average 28 pts and 7 assists. And only 1 of them has 2 wins.

If you really think Harden had a bad game you must not have watched. He had an awful!! shooting night but other than that he did everything. He stayed aggressive, looked for his shot (despite them not falling) and attacked the rim. He created plays for others and played very good defense.

The difference to years past - and I attribute that to him having CP3, another playmaker who can break down defenses in isolation and create for others - he seems to know that he can just keep playing his game, without having to force the issue. In previous seasons the burden was on him - if he didn't have it going one night (or even just one quarter) he still had to make plays of for others. Now if he doesn't have it going or if defenses decide to try and take him out of the game, the Rockets still have CP to initiate the offense. Harden just seems way more relaxed out there - he can let the game just come to him, knowing that finally someone other than him can take over.

James will probably go for 50 Saturday; what then? Will he be good again?

yep and both those HOFs bad shooting games resulted in a loss..

true rockets fans are ecstatic about a 20 point blowout, and 7-8 fts, 7 assists, 3 steals, and 3 blocks despite a bad shooting night from their MVP

plus the fact that this years POs, only 2 other players has avged same/more points and same/more assists in 2 games.. and only harden has 2 wins under his belt..

so harden's shooting in game 2, just like the rest of the team in g1, and ego's shooting in g2 is no big deal as long as they all are competing at both ends of the floor doing everything to win

only haters cry whine and ***** about harden's g2 shooting act like no HOF player had that kind of shooting in the POs before.. there's been worse shooting by other HOFs in later rounds and elimination games and they even resulted in a loss

I think everybody's overreacting to this. Jalen has been beating the Harden "MVP" and top 5 player in the league drum for the last 2-3 years before a lot of the rest of the media started. He's also one of the few people who thought the Rockets could challenge GS even going back to last season. I think Jacoby's question was phrased in bad way by using the word "survived".

The great thing about stats like this is they don't matter when you win. I can guarantee you the first BIG IMPORTANT game the Rockets play will be the one where they lose regardless if they are up 3-0 in the finals. The media only care or cover the Rockets when they lose. So far all of the talk about the series has been about Towns. Nothing about the Rockets D or that they are so good they can win even without playing well. I look for Game 3 to start out with a 40pt 1stQ. That engine is going to be turned over at some point.

Honestly, It didn't seem like he was this bad, probably because he had the highest game score on the list.
However, I would rather not repeat the Ames HarDen experience.

The best thing about Clutchfans is that it has one faction that will hate Harden and over-exaggerate his faults (ashleyem), and another that will attempt to obfuscate and wash away any mistake that Harden ever makes (vlaurelio).

    Harden isn't just a player, he's a religion! A way of life!

Why does Rockets analysis from the same handful of national shows/commentators deserve individual threads EVERY day?

I don’t think it’s fair to dismiss someone’s game when the shots aren’t falling, especially afte his game 1 performance. Now if he had a bunch of turnovers, travels etc. then I would be concerned. But he was keyed in, shots weren’t falling..it happens

Lol at people citing FG% in 2018.

Putting aside defense/assists & other ways he clearly contributed to the game, if we want to focus on his scoring, we have to look at it in its entirety. He generated 12 points on 24 possessions used (18 ended in shots, 3 ended in FT attempts, 3 TOs), which is really really bad, but not "all time top 3" bad. Another way to look at it is his TS% for the game was 28%, which again, is really really bad, but not the worst single game scoring performance ever. One reason harden is such an efficient scorer is because he gets to the FT line with regularity and has a high FT% - and that helped mitigate his poor shooting from the field in this game.

Lol u crying about bad shooting in the POs that has happened to every HOF?

Whats there to blame harden for? That we didnt blow the wolves out by 40pts?

Are you with the ashleyms or with morey, mda, or cp3?
