Were getting a retro rebrand and lessening the urbanization of the Toyota Center entertainment experience?
I'm not disagreeing with you. However pro teams pay salaries from tv contracts. I don't think most teams care about the gate totals anymore Edit: sorry, obviously they care they just aren't dependent on ticket sales as much as maybe 30 years ago
I'm disappointed. Thought this was going to be Tillman revealing that the Rockets would get our red and yellow championship jerseys back. Everything else is secondary to that.
I guarantee that every single owner cares about selling tickets. Ticket sales account for tens of millions of dollars every year. Folks in seats account for tens of millions in concessions and souvenirs every year.
He still has the white tigers that haven't seen daylight in a decade locked up in a building in downtown? If so, he does NOT get it. Disgusts me tbh.
I changed that to them not being dependent on ticket sale Pretty stupid of me to say they don't care but this is what I'm saying. Operating an arena has costs. A 100 million dollar annual tv contract is straight cash hommie
I was at game one and was surprised when I saw Fertitta just walking around the concessions and team shops. I was the only one who recognized him. Lol
Maybe send an email to the Corporate owners 3 hours before game time asking if they plan to attend. If they say no let the local honor students have the seats. If they don't respond, leave them empty. I am sure these folks live on email.
Anybody who's ever been to Landry's properties like Pleasure Pier or Kemah Boardwalk should know not to hold their breath for ticket giveaways and dollar beers and other cost lowering measures. He has a business model and style he's used everywhere else and it's worked really well for him. He's not going to change that around for the biggest acquisition he's ever made. I'm not precisely sure how to accurately describe the model and maintain an appropriately polite tone, but neither "cheap" nor "thrifty" would be the first adjectives to come to mind. People seem to have a ton of fun at Landry's properties from what I can tell, and this seems to have been taken as an valid reason to "turn the screws" on your wallet.
