Can't think of any athlete more mediocre than Bradford that has been paid this much consistently on like 4-5 diff deals.

He was playing well for Minnesota until he got hurt.

He just can't stay out of the trainers office.

You can just about find PFF stats that will make a player look exceptional or horrible

That's all good and well. He's a young up and coming slot corner, only 26 years old, who is emerging as a pretty good player. He's essentially been playing the same role A.J. Bouye played here before Jacksonville gave him big money. He may not turn out like Bouye, but it's a good signing. Low risk.

They also had him in Jacksonville's free agent section listed as "must re-sign":

    MUST RE-SIGN
Aaron Colvin, CB, 78.5 overall grade

Much can be said for the play of both A.J. Bouye and Jalen Ramsey on the outside for the Jaguars’ secondary, but let’s not forget about the play of Colvin on the inside. While he may have allowed 45 receptions on 60 targets when in primary coverage from the slot cornerback position, Colvin finished sixth in the league in terms of fewest yards allowed per snap in coverage. He allowed just 0.75 yards per his 449 snaps spent in the slot while allowing a reception on every 10.0 snaps (tied for 22nd-highest total in the league). Re-signing Colvin’s reliability in the slot keeps opposing offensive coordinators still searching for a way to get their passing attacks working against the talented Jaguars secondary.

I only brought the list up in response to the PFF tweet. If you see my response is that you can find PFF stats to make anyone look really good or really bad. Not a critique of the player just a critique of the grading/analysis of PFF.

Colvin is not a splash signing. He’s decent I guess, better than what we have. That’s not saying much.
