Agree... Delta should extend a finger to GA repub candidates and the NRA they appear in the pocket of at the same time.

LOL... so corporations shouldn't get corporate tax breaks, and you raise your voice only when the NRA says so.

This pretty much sounds like extortion, I don’t care about the tax cuts but the fact that you ignore that he set a condition on granting the tax cut (only one condition ) that has nothing to do with the well being of Georgians is sickening .

I suspect you're right on that. However, it takes a lot of balls for a little politician to threaten Delta like that. Even if Delta can't move their hub, they can still do things like move their corporate office, change their vendors, or whatever. I'm also betting Delta is a pretty regular donor for various state races, and even if they don't give to Cagle, they might start giving to his opponents.

The "attack" on the NRA isn't an "attack on conservatives," RR. The implication, in my opinion, is that an attack on the NRA is an attack on possessing guns. Those statements ignore the fact that many liberals are gun owners, are hunters, enjoy going to a gun range, and some are gun collectors. That's certainly true in states like Texas and Georgia. It's a false premise. If they don't belong to the NRA, it's because the NRA, for many, many years, has been a mouthpiece and contributor to the most conservative politicians they can find. An attack on the NRA isn't an attack on guns. A desire to ban assault weapons like AR-15's, which have been banned before without leading to the Fall of the Republic, isn't a desire to ban all guns. It's a desire to ban assault style semi-automatic rifles.

The leadership of the NRA, eager to retain their high paying jobs (look up what LaPierre makes sometime) and the funds to keep funneling to the politicians in their back pocket, are promoting this false premise. Now LaPierre is babbling about socialism, equating being against assault style rifles with being "socialist," and equating being a Democrat with being a Socialist. I would have loved to see LBJ's response to being called a Socialist.

If Republicans don't have someone to be angry at, they slowly wither away and die, like an unwatered plant.

It's that unique argument that fits both narratives.

You aren't tough when you have guns.

You're tough when you know how to let go of them.

The way lt governor went about this is a PR nightmare in my opinion. Like others pointed out the tax break had other factors but the direction of the conversation was shifted because the lt governor tweet. Its a very bad tweet that makes that the single point of reason that the tax break was not allowed. It builds a strong case for Delta to change hubs and for the state to blame him for the loss of revenue.
