    I think Lebron is putting this GS stuff out early so he doesn't get attacked by everyone when he comes to the Rockets. If everyone has Lebron to GS as a possibility in their minds and he ends up going to the Rockets, he's going to seem like he saved the league. If I was a neutral fan I would definitely think - "phew, at least he didn't go to the Warriors. Go Rockets!"

    SAS on first take said these rumors are NOT coming from LeBron's camp. He mentioned the rumor is coming from the Warrior's front who are kicking the tires to see if LeBron is interested.

    I'll go one further. He's trying to get Golden State to move players before he'll even consider a meeting. No guarantees that he'll sign there.

    He can weaken them in the offseason by seeking to get rid of their depth. Then when he ruins the Rockets' depth, it won't hurt so much.

    Not sure about that. Don't think GS dumps anyone of value without a firm commitment from Lebron. Then again, we did get screwed by Bosh that one time...

    Step 1: LeBron leaks to media he will entertain the idea of signing with GS if they create a max slot.
    Step 2: GS trades Klay and Draymond to sign LeBron.
    Step 3: LeBron signs with Houston
    Step4: Easy road to championships every year in the West.

    Exactly my thoughts. He's lessening the blow to Cleveland fans by planting the seed that him leaving is a real possibility. The only way to do that is to feign interest in other teams around the league. Now this could also be a way for Golden State to troll the media and fans by leaking this. Either way, as a Rockets fan, this report changes nothing. In fact, like others have stated, it could actually be a positive thing.
