I think what this shows us is that Cyber’s sources are likely from the front office side of things. Cod’s sources are by his own account more from the players side of things. Like you have said we are extremely blessed to have this insight into the inner workings of the league. Normally you have to wait years later to get a book or long form article about how these things unfolded with hindsight partially clouding the narrative. We saw how these two different perspectives played out this summer with the Melo situation as Gawdtato guaranteed the trade and his sources were also from the players side; but Cyber was quiet on the matter until he came with the OKC angle which would line up more with the front office sources.
If you ever read around on other boards on the internet you will stumble on guys nentioning " @cyberx from clutchfans said the other day..." I mean this dude I don't even think he is a rockets fan first and foremost (I might be wrong) so we are just lucky to have the guy. Also @Codman is a rockets fan but seems to have ties to the Phoenix Suns? But ya same thing we are lucky to have both. Some of you have manifested hatred towards Dwight and it's clouding ur judgement. If true, this is a pretty solid possibly GREAT pickup for GS. Dwight has pretty much owned Capela and will continue too. The only thing that helps is GS can't play him down the stretch due to his horrible FT's. But defensively they'll be a problem
When thinking about the up to the minute accuracy of these insider's information I like to reflect on the DeAndre Jordan to the Mavs saga. Even the latest information changed very quickly in that scenario with Cuban driving around to his house and things like that. These insiders aren't in the car with Cuban during that scenario. At best they are texting with Cuban as he patrols around looking. More likely they're hearing from another Mavericks front office guy that Cuban went to Houston to meet with DJ. It's important to be realistic about how information is spread and think about how the content of that information relates to the possibility of it coming to fruition.
