Switching Phone Numbers NIGHTMARE!

    Man i have been trying to switch from Sprint PCS to T-Mobile...Its been a week and nothing...Seriously pissing me off...Have any of you had the same experience with any carrier? It also sucks that you have to wait 2 hrs to even find out the status of your switch!

    does anyone know if they charge you if you change your wireless carrier to a new one and want to keep your number?

    No charge for switching, but if you break a contract that you will have to pay for

    Some carriers are charging for it Sprint is one of them, I believe. Verizon and T-Mobile are the two that don't charge, IIRC.... I dont know in what form the charges come though. Definitely call and check, cuz otherwise that might end up being a whole other pain in your butt.

    Yes Sprint does charge, and as far as i know so does AT&T, but the charges from Sprint is something in between 39cents to $1.40 so its not going to hurt you at all.

    I believe this is because the company buys these numbers and they lose money when people port their numbers, so thats why they charge people.

    my friend changed from cingular to nextel..no charge
