[2017 NFL Draft/1-12] Deshaun Watson

Is there a stat for crappy pass protection and concussed tight ends? What about short weeks and pedestrian receiving corps? Wishy washy head coaches?

 

I dont know if you were one of the guys that didnt give Savage a shot or not, but if Savage can have those excuses for one half of football than Watson cant either. Im very pro-Watson just not as an unseasoned rookie to be starting in this league.

 

Not sure why Savage wouldn't get those excuses as well since he depends on protection even more. I doubt either would be great with good protection right now. Hoping Watson develops to be better this season.

 

If you read through the first games thread, there were idiots everywhere saying that it all fell on Savage and the line had nothing to do with it.

He's looked good today save for one inexcusably stupid backfoot pass.

It's all about growth right now for Watson. The overall results this season are unlikely to be good.

Still not sure he should be starting so early behind this line.

 

The line is playing well today. Was okay last week. It's getting where it needs to.

 

He's learning.

Already seeing a lot of scanning of the field and eye manipulation down field.

 

Liked the creative playcalling early in the 1st half. Don't like Miller runs up the middle.

He's shown progress 2nd game as a starter. Just keep growing the offense, mistakes and all.
