That's 6 or less carries twice in 3 games. That's just not good playcalling IMO.

He looked ready on the last drive with a 2 minute drill, completing huge conversions and taking the lead with a TD. Had the defense slammed the door, this comment would never have been written.

Or if that guy didn't just slip on his way into a sure fire touchdown the prior play (or two plays)

would have been quite thebwin for the program. But they can still garner as much from it as a win if they go on to dominate the rest of the season... only drop one in the big 12... something like that

You mean I would have forgotten him fumbling on the 1? Or the numerous snap screw ups, where he forgot they were switching from clapping to hand gestures?

I like him, but he is just not there yet....he has serious potential though.

It was the right playcall. Sam was getting consistent yardage on the rushes. You keep calling it if they can't stop it. You can't base your playcall on if someone might fumble. You can't predict that.

The kid played with heart and made some great plays. He's maybe 19 and has barley worked with the 1st team.

The players and coaches should hold their heads up high. They played hard and kept up with a great team. Hopefully the fan base feels the same way and stops booing the kids during home games.

Texas is about winning. It's not about getting close. It's not about moral victories. It's about leaving others to celebrate moral victories. It's about dominating. It's about getting that W. This was a failure. If you're looking for a moral victory, you're not living in the Texas spirit. We're winners. We win games when no one expects us to and we walk off the field like we were supposed to win. That's Texas. **** all ya'll talking about a moral victory. This was a ****ing failure. Texas is about winning and nothing else. We win or we failed. That's Texas. Get used to that. Anything less is weak. We should have won tonight. We failed. Tell our guys that. We failed. Last time we were at the Rose Bowl we didn't fail. That's Texas football.

Getting close doesn't amount to jack squat. I'm so disappointed in this team. Fight hard but not hard enough? We were better than these scrubs. We went out there and played to their level. USC ain't **** compare to Texas. There's no reason to forgive this performance. Forgiving this performance is akin to calling failure okay. It's akin to excuses being what Texas is about. **** that. We're WAY better than that. When I was in school we went to Nebraska, they won something like 56 straight games at home and we broke that streak. No one can handle Texas when we play our game. We charged the drag and filled that ****er. No traffic went anywhere. We beat them a year later. They were number 2, we weren't ranked. Did we charge the field? Hell no. We were supposed to win. We're Texas. We don't back down from anyone and so losing to USC tonight was a complete failure. Trying to make it something else is loser mentality. **** USC, we should have won. Every Texas fan deserved that win. Every player should have fought for it. That's who we are. We win. That's Texas. We fight for wins, not for the sake of fighting. **** ties. **** losses. Win every ****ing game.

Tonight's team should feel like ****. None of them deserve an accolade. Texas doesn't thrive on getting close. Texas thrives on leading the way. Texas represents winning and this team failed tonight. If you want the world to see how great you are, then win. It's not complex. That's what that longhorn on your jersey means. That's what the longhorn on your helmet means. You go out there and win. Literally everything else is a huge failure. You're not there to go the NFL, you're not there to do okay in life, you're not there to be friends with your teammates... you're there to win. All that stuff will be real and it will happen if you win at UT, but you HAVE TO win first. TEAM > INDIVIDUAL TALENT

Actually your rant exemplifies what was wrong in the twenty years before Mack Brown.

I'm so tired of these guys that pretend like they want to win. Winning is hard, but it's something that true Texas players dedicate themselves to. It doesn't matter if you fought for the extra yard, block for that first down when you only need an inch. Rip a guy for not taking the wrong side of the block. Let it go when the next down starts and know he's going to stop ****ing up because you looked him in the eye. Build something that can't be stopped. You are what make UT great. That tradition ain't doing a God Damn thing for you. Own Texas football. Being great is a practice, not some ****ing stupid ****ing scholarship or accolade. Win. That's the only job. Win. Win small so you win big. Win every ****ing thing they make a competition. If it's not a competition, make it one in your head. Time to win at the University of Texas. That's what we do. We win. **** moral victories.

How did Ehlinger break Drew Brees's school record? He really needs help with his accuracy. I like him, but the kid has tunnel vision and no touch on his passes. He's not all that athletic either.

I still think Jerrod Heard should get a serious look at QB. Buechele and Ehlinger don't move the needle at all. They don't present any sort of problems for the defense.
