Yeah what opinion bud? This trade is dead is not an opinion. No one wanting Anderson is not an opinion. These are facts laid out by Woj and Lowe. You guys can keep selling yourself on the dream that some team will take Anderson to help us get Melo but it's not happening. CF IS being delusional because they keep making up hypotheticals of why NY will be doomed if they don't trade Melo for garbage. They won't be. That's all there is to it. It's hilarious when someone who posts looks at the Knicks POV just to make sense of the situation and then is labeled a non-Rockets fan. Whatta joke. Grow up.

huh? No team...even the Knicks are willing to pay a able body 26mil to sit at the end of a bench to prove a point. That's not how business works......melo has extreme leverage and all he has to do is wait them out. They don't want to go into training camp or preseason with this. Major distraction......a deal will get down probably the end of this month or beginning of Sept. Melo will be a rocket and the knicks will probably have a slightly better return package than originally offered. BUT...no one is paying able bodies to sit especially when there is a option to move that player. Knicks HAVE to fall on that sword. Melo is content to wait them out....he's fine....rockets are fine. Just fans, media and knicks that are stressed. lol

I know you have some thing with him but he has some insight whether you like it or not. He actually contributes more to actual basketball discussion more than 90% of posters. Let off the gas some.

I'd be shocked if they sat him, but the closest thing to this scenario that has played out recent is Stephon Marbury, rotting on the Knicks' bench with a huge check coming his way every couple of weeks. Dolan was okay with it then, so it's not an impossible scenario.

I dont know if its dead or not.. I don't believe that to be fact either.. Only ones who know if it is dead or not is Steve Mills/Scott Perry..
And truth be told, as a Rockets fan thinking in Knicks POV, I would absolutely not move Melo for Ryan Anderson, regardless of any outside factors.. Morey needs to be so creative. It doesn't sound like the Knicks are ready to be fleeced.. Let's see if Morey can work some magic to get this across the finish line

Or we can just go into the season with Anderson at the 4 spot. We don't have to pull the trigger either if it will end up hurting the team.

She don't bother me. Her lack of basketball talk does though.

Just to be clear about my previous post, Knicks are looking to clear cap for next summer. They'd gladly take Anderson for Melo if they can dump Noah for expirings. That's virtually impossible but Perry is doing his job for them and is going to leave no stone unturned before finally agreeing to which form of the deal he is going to take to send Melo here.

The use of the room mle is really inconsequential when you understand there's nobody that the Knicks want to sign for cap space now combined with the possibility that they will actually increase their current salaries by aggregating a Melo trade with a possible trade of one or more of Lee/Noah/Thomas.

Look at the Knicks cap for next year. They are at $108 million if Melo opts in. That's the last thing they want. That's why you're hearing about Noah from Cod. If things keep going without a trade being finalized, we'll be hearing rumors about Lee and Thomas next.

Melo is coming. It's simply a matter of Perry turning over every rock in his attempts to synergize the Melo trade with another trade. Everybody here should understand that. Perry is doing exactly what Morey would do if the shoe were on the other foot.

This was the perfect post. Have been my thoughts the entire time. Perry doesn't have to rush it. He will choose best trade option with Houston. Your the man!!!

At whatever point that Perry feels he has exhausted all possibilities with the rest of his roster. We still have restricted free agency wave to hit. And there is a lot of potential volatility there which could change trade values.

Do the Knicks and Rockets have anything to do with restricted FA? A couple of decent bigs out there, Noel and Mason (the actually good) Plumlee. Sign and trade possibility for either? I don't see it, but who knows.

    But who knows.

Still on the 2 yard line, but with a fresh set of downs.

bbholic is a good poster when he is not trying to pretend to be an insider and doubling down when prove wrong.
