Assuming the Rockets make the playoffs and have to give a pick to the Grizz, do we have to send OUR pick to them or could we give them the lower of our 2 or three picks(Mil and Orl)?

According to RealGM, this year's Houston pick has to go to Vancouver, if it is between 14-29 of the first round.

You know, I just posted a thread at realgm on this subject. Check it out:

Oh, Sherlock, that hasn't quite been updated yet. It's a bit more complicated than that. The pick is lottery-protected, but it can be another team's pick under certain circumstances. Check out the link; it should explain it.

Now the big question with Minnesota-Are they skipped over, or are they considered a pick that just doesn't pick?

For example, let's pretend we kick Minnesota out of #8, and they're lotto bound. Is it a 12 team lotto, or will they be included, and if they get the #1 pick, they'll just be skipped over?

So, if Minnesota was within those 2 slots, would they count as one of the slots since there is no pick.

JV-Good post. Check the draft board (cc.net) for that pick thread, someone found a little blurb on the Orlando pick, saying most likely their latest pick will be given to us.

Ken Johnson would be a great pick for us. He had 14pts 15rebs and 6blks yesterday. His vertical is 41inches and he is 6'9.

Ken Johnson plays for Ohio State. I watched him Thursday in the Eastern Regionals and wasn't too impressed. He played without fire. He racked up some statistics but you are going to when you are an athletic 7 footer. He's a poor man's Marcus Camby.

Is he really 7 feet? I thought he was 6'9. I would still take him with our Bucks draft pick and try to snatch Battier with our middle pick.
