    Pessimistic prediction: Rockets big moves fall through, roster largely stays intact, extra cap space is used to sign Nick Young, bring over Zhou Qi, and resign Nene. Rockets say they'll be better after having a year together under their belt and because Player X (insert Montrezl, Cappela, Nene, Onuaku or maybe just Yi) has added 3 point shooting to his game. Morey promises big mid-season moves to come.

    Look if we gut our roster to go out and trade for Paul George and gut it some more to clear cap for CP3 or whomever, you will probably only be left with 5 or so actual NBA level players on the team (Harden, George, Paul, Capella, and maybe Gordon), then you are gonna have a bunch of 2nd rounders, Qi, Onuaku, etc who are big question marks. You are gonna need risky guys like Young just to fill out the roster. On the surface it looks face-palming, but Young can atleast give you something.

    Nick has become good friends with both Chris and Blake in recent years. I'm not sure to the extent, but good friends nonetheless. Could be a sign of things to come.
