Maybe he had money on the game or something. I'm still baffled and I will never not be baffled at what he was doing out there
Look DD we get that you love the Spurs. You've been on SpursTalk too long. They probably got all your credit card info, social security #, friends and family on speed dial. We understand the position you are in. It's a tough call. Get the churro out of your a** and let the bomb explode or actually believe the rockets have a chance despite your flaws. As a ClutchFans/SpursTalk double agent I guess you win either way.
Only on cf and DD would call a triple double a bad game. Harden gets no respect around here. If we didnt have harden we wouldnt have a chance. They played hard took them to OT in their house. ginobili made a great play at end. Could have gone either way give sa some f-ing credit too.
We just have to pray to god this was actually the best thing that couldve happened. He has been evolving alot through out the year and made a huge jump from last year to this year. Take t as a Learning Experience and move on. Keep working and understanding where your shooters are when you drive. Dont take your foot off the pedal and keep trusting your teammates.
in the end of the day, it wasnt that everyone was tired; it was that one main superstar was. 7-man rotation or not, we had a lot of capable players from the last part of the 4th quarter to overtime who could have made more plays and done more with the ball than harden was because of his fatigue. all that needed to happen was for him to rest offensively and let gordon, beverly, or even ariza go for drives rather than holding the ball till 17 seconds at half court, waiting for two screens to get ur "mismatch" at 9 seconds and then dribbling into a stepback 3 or a 30 footer. I don't think the entire team was tired; it was Harden that was tired. When beverly got it one time during the overtime he looked quite fresh. but then we proceeded to hand the ball back to harden to hold till 7 seconds left on the clock. We can blame pretty much everyone. Harden for consistently making bad plays from the last minutes of the 4th till the end of overtime; d'antoni for not making some kind of switch for those 7-8 minutes, and the supporting cast for nonstop handing the ball to a superstar who was obviously out of gas. I'm not that convinced that Popovich is that big of a genius to tire out Harden by making him defend everyone, so much as the stubbornness of our "system." Four out of the five guys on the floor for the rockets could have beaten their guy off the dribble ... not because our guys are that good at doing so, but because more of their players are old and unable.
Harden blew it, no doubt. But if the refs don't call the worst game I have ever seen, the Rockets win by 10. Go on ESPN and watch the clip of that Green and-1. Watch Aldridge grab Ariza to prevent him from stopping the drive and then push him directly into Green for the foul. Or watch that Kawhi Leonard "block" on Capela that TNT called the "Move of the Game". Watch how he hits nothing but arm. The ball went straight up, but Capela's arms get hammered. Go watch how every time the Spurs got hit and fell down it was a charge, but every time the Rockets got absolutely ran over, it was a block. Go watch Kawhi change his pivot foot constantly. In a normal basketball game, it's whatever... but this is a playoff game, and this playoff game went into OVERTIME. Those bad calls made every bit of difference.
Now your sounding like the pro westbrook ppl. Iam not saying he wasnt the reason we were in it, he actually was. First half was brilliant but just cuz your the reason we were in it doesent mean you cant be the reason we lost. I love James but that was a horror show on offense in the second half and OT. Man up, take responsibility and come back stronger. Learn and keep working.
Except all those 'Superstarts' that did not even make it to the second round . .. . or even win a game if they did make it Rocket River
On top of the Spurs not having Parker already. Spurs were begging to be taken out of their misery tonight.
lebron had 2 points in a fourth quarter of a finals game against dallas... "superstars" come up short sometimes... unless you're MJ
QUESTION: Will people remind the world of this as much as they do . . . with the HARDEN WAS ON THE BENCH in the clipper game? Rocket River
Loss is on Mike Dan Tony for leaving Harden as the primary ball handler at the end of the 4th and OT when it was obvious to everyone that Harden was gassed. Oh and he was gassed because Mike Dan Tony decided to play only 7 players in an intense game 5 conference semi-final.
we wouldn't have even been in position to lose a close game without his amazing first half when everyone else was cold. yes he had a bad second half, but would you rather that we got blown out ?
